Boot camp uses interval, circuit, and aerobic training. It will burn fat, tone muscle, improve posture, build strength and endurance, and build confidence. You work out your arms, legs, and core using exercises that incorporate your whole body. Boot camp can get you into the best shape of your life. As one of my campers stated, “I am stronger, faster, and leaner”
A typical day includes a warm up, stretches, the ‘workout’, cool down, a possible game or challenge, and finishing stretches.

Boot camps varying routines are intense sessions that offer a variety of exercises, and challenge every muscle in your body. By rapidly moving from one exercise to the next, with minimal breaks, you can get a cardiovascular workout while simultaneously toning your muscles. And, you burn lots of calories. Its fun, varied, motivating, produces amazing results, and meets at a fantastic location.

Boot camp’s 45 minutes workouts allow you to do strength training and aerobic training in a single workout, which is very efficient when you have a limited time to work out.

We use the term “compete” very loosely. There will be no weigh ins, no entry fee, no singlets. There will be judges. But they probably won’t notice if you lift your ass off the bench.

Yoga for Stiff Guys is a full spectrum class designed for the stiff guys of this world.

This workshop is designed both for athletes and “regular guys” who are interested in increasing their flexibility. Working out, running, cycling, and long periods of sitting are among ways that we create restriction, stress, and tension in the body. This workshop will unravel restricted mobility, lengthen & strengthen muscles, help dissolve stress patterns, reduce the possibility of injury through sports, and increase your stamina.

For the beginner Stiff Guy this will be a solid introduction to yoga and its benefits, and for the Stiff Guy with some experience on the mat this class will be informative and offer the opportunity to deepen and refine one’s practice.

About the Teacher:
Brian Danz has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 5 years, with a focus on Yin yoga as active recovery for athletes. His passions for outdoor sports and recreation and particular experience as a mountain biker help to bring a unique focus to his teaching style. Brian lives in Portland, and is currently pursuing a degree in Nursing. When he’s not hitting the books or his mat, you’ll find him riding on the trails of Greater Portland with his dog, Arrow.

Santa Claus is coming to town and the elves will be working hard all day to get Waldoboro ready for his arrival. But it’s bound to be cold, so we’re organizing a 5K to get everyone’s blood moving and warm before Santa shows up.

So join us for a festive run through town. We’ll have hot chocolate and candy canes and Christmas lights and prizes (even one for the best dressed elf). Local businesses will be open late with hot drinks and snacks and things you can buy to finish off your Christmas shopping.

And the Patriots don’t play until 4:30, so you’re all clear on that front.

Registration is $15 in advance. $20 on race day. The Kid’s Run is FREE!
