Join the Trek Across Maine and Baxter Brewing Co. for our Bend & Brew event!

We will have Trek volunteer and yoga instructor Judi Look leading this one hour, all level vinyasa yoga class inside the Brewery. Judi has over 5 years of experience teaching yin and resorative yoga and currently practices at the YMCA in Auburn.

All participants will receive a free brew and beer flight generously donated from Baxter Brewing. The Trek Across Maine will be giving away goodies and providing information about their annual event. All proceeds will go directly to the American Lung Association’s fundraising event, the Trek Across Maine.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early (by 12:30) in order to allow time to set up your mat and meet the Trek crew. Participants will have the option to participate in a free brewery tour after the yoga session starting at 2pm. We hope to see you there!

What to bring:

-Warm clothes (the brewery is set at a cooler temperatures so make sure to wear layers)

I’m all for lounging around in pajamas the entire day watching old episodes of Dateline. But for an easy-going Sunday that you can still feel proud to talk about at work on Monday, there’s Downdogs at Dirigo.

This weekly event combines an hour of yoga with a glass of your favorite Dirigo Brewing Co. beer. (To be clear, you do the yoga first, then drink the beer. Not that beer-during-yoga wouldn’t also be lovely, but think of it most as a post-yoga reward.)

Trail Monster Running is proud to host the Bradbury Mountain Snowshoe Series at Bradbury Mountain State Park in Pownal, Maine. The Bradbury Mountain Snowshoe Series test racers on three separate courses circling and climbing Bradbury Mountain in all manner of snow conditions. We hope to see you this winter.

Thanks to Dion Snowshoes for providing a limited number of loaner snowshoes for all our races. Snowshoes will be available on a first come first serve basis to registered racers. An email will be sent to registered racers a week before each race to announce snowshoe availability. You must be registered to reserve snowshoes. Even if you have previously requested snowshoes on your registration form, in a separate email, on Facebook, by carrier pigeon, smoke signals, etc., you must respond to the email in order to be on the snowshoe loaner list. Ultimately, all racers are responsible for having snowshoes at the race. In the same way that we cannot provide running shoes for everyone, we can’t be expected to provide snowshoes. We do our best to accommodate everyone, but having the proper gear is the racer’s responsibility. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

PLEASE NOTE: Parking at Bradbury Mountain State Park is very limited, and we encourage carpooling to the races whenever possible. Thank you

Event Description:

Baxter Outdoors continues the Packed Powder Series with a stop at Lost Valley Ski Area in Auburn, Maine and part of the Auburn Winter Fest. This classic local ski hill with over 10km of cross country ski trails will play host as we snowshoe and nordic ski our way through the woods of central Maine.

The race can be tackled as a solo 5km snowshoe, solo 10km duathlon, or team 10km duathlon. We will also offer a 3-lap and 5-lap ski mountaineering course. The 5km snowshoe course will take place on single track trails throughout the woods. The nordic course will be set on the Auburn Nordic Ski Association trails behind Lost Valley Ski Area.

XC Skiers will race first at 10:00am. Duathlon teams will transition directly into their snowshoe leg. Solo snowshoers will begin at 10:05am

Baxter Outdoors is proud to partner with TruStrength Athletics for the Ski Mountaineering portion of this event. Ski mo racers may choose from a 750′ vert course (3 laps) or a 1250′ vert option (5 laps). Each lap includes 250 feet of vertical. Ski mo will be open to all telemark, Randonee/AT, and split boarders.

All races will start and finish near the Lost Valley base lodge .

$25/$30 —– 5km Snowshoe (Solo): Early Bird/Normal

$30/$35 —– 10km Duathlon (Solo): Early Bird/Normal

$50/$60 —– 10km Duathlon (Team): Early Bird/Normal

Full Moon Snowshoe @ Randall Orchards

Join us for a full moon winter walk on Randall Orchards – the farm we helped protect as farmland forever. We will meet at the farm at sunset and head out to explore the 500-acres of conserved orchard and forest while watching the full moon rise.

After an hour guided walk, led by Master Naturalist, Jeanne Christie and Board President Mike Parker, we will end with hot cider from apples grown and pressed onsite at the orchard.

Cars line Dougherty Road; in 2017 seventy-five members, neighbors, trustees, toddlers, grandparents and friends hiked the loop trail through the perfect amount of new snow, shared some cheer at the summit, toasted with hot cocoa, toasted marshmallows, and hooted at the big orange rising moon under the only three hours of clear sky all week.
