Join us on Sunday, April 29, 2018 for the 5th Annual Dash for Dogs 5K & Strut your Mutt Dog Walk. If you’d like, bring your 4-legged partner and walk or run for a great cause. The 5K course (timed for runners, not timed for walkers) will start at the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society and follow the scenic paved Greenway Trail along the river. Awards for the top finishers in each male/female age category will follow completion of the run (separate categories/prizes for participants running with a dog). All walkers and runners will be entered to win great prizes, which will be drawn after the awards are given. NEW this year: a special prize for the top fundraiser.
The Dash for Dogs 5k is one the very few road races that allows you to run with your canine companion. Your registration fee will go directly towards the care of the over 4,000 dogs, cats and other companion animals that the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society takes in annually.
Note: Dogs must be on standard leashes (no flexi-leads) and current on all vaccinations.

Are you ready for the annual Rabbit Run, a trail run and walk through the Bangor City Forest? The majority of the course is technical single track trail with rocks and roots and trees and maybe a little bit of mud, while the walk option follows the friendlier East/West trail loop. In past years, proceeds have been donated to the Bangor Humane Society and others including the Clifton Climbers Alliance, a local non-profit that is responsible for keeping a local mountain/crag open to hikers and climbers alike. This year, we are teaming with the Orono Bog Boardwalk to raise funds for the boardwalk reconstruction campaign.
Pre-Registered runners and walkers may pick up their bib numbers and race shirts at Epic Sports starting April 26th or pick them up on race day.
Race day registration will be open at 730 AM for $25.
Dogs are allowed. Strollers are allowed for walkers only.
Rain or shine!
Proceeds will benefit the Bangor Humane Society and the Clifton Climbers Alliance.

Come and experience Maine’s finest trail running festival! Races include a 1km Kids’ race, 5km Canicross (dog+runner), standard 5km, and a 10km on Saturday 5/26/18; and a 25km, 50km, and 50 miler on Sunday 5/27/18.
The trails are 12′ wide non-technical XC paths through the woods and pastoral farmland with no noticable roots or rocks. The trails twist, turn, and roll like a roller coaster and include very few flat areas.
The festival also includes plenty of beer drinking, BBQ (veggie friendly), pot-luck dishes, desserts, eclectic music performances, and fun family activities.
