Boot camp uses interval, circuit, and aerobic training. It will burn fat, tone muscle, improve posture, build strength and endurance, and build confidence. You work out your arms, legs, and core using exercises that incorporate your whole body. Boot camp can get you into the best shape of your life. As one of my campers stated, “I am stronger, faster, and leaner”
A typical day includes a warm up, stretches, the ‘workout’, cool down, a possible game or challenge, and finishing stretches.

Boot camps varying routines are intense sessions that offer a variety of exercises, and challenge every muscle in your body. By rapidly moving from one exercise to the next, with minimal breaks, you can get a cardiovascular workout while simultaneously toning your muscles. And, you burn lots of calories. Its fun, varied, motivating, produces amazing results, and meets at a fantastic location.

Boot camp’s 45 minutes workouts allow you to do strength training and aerobic training in a single workout, which is very efficient when you have a limited time to work out.

This year, our Weekly Back Cove 5K Series bib pickup will be happening every day starting May 24th until 5:00PM on May 31st! If you are later than 5:00 PM, you can meet us in the Back Cove parking lot across from Hannaford, where the race starts, to pick up your bib! After the first race, the packet pickup will continue from 5:15PM – 6:00PM before every race!

The series of races will start on May 31st and run every Wednesday night at 6:00pm until August 30th.

The Weekly Back Cove Series is a Fleet Feet Maine Running tradition!

In 2016, your participation allowed us to donate $15,000 to Portland Trails!

The “Big Run” Special Race – June 7th!

This year, our June 7th race happens to fall on Global Running Day! Our Weekly Back Cove race on that night will be part of the “Big Run”, a Fleet Feet Sports initiative in which 40 Fleet Feet stores across the country will be holding 5K races to celebrate!

All 250 participants who check in and run will receive a “Big Run” Global Running Day t-shirt if they show their bib at the store, immediately following the race! Not only will they receive a t-shirt, but you will have an all access pass to our PARTY to celebrate running!

4 week-sessions of bootcamp fun on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 am 🙂

$15 drop-in. $80 4-week session, $120 6-week session, $48 4-class punch card, $270 summer pass.

Where will we meet for bootcamp?

Meet at the top of the hill on the side by the playground. Class may be held there, or we may move around the park depending on the day.

What should I expect in a bootcamp class?

Class could consist of many different things: kettlebells, medicine balls, bodyweight exercises, hill running, games, agility drills. Be ready for anything as every class will be different! Expect a good mix of cardio and strength from each class.

Do I need to be in good shape to sign up?

No! Class will be very challenging for all, but there’s no better way to get in shape than signing up for this series. Show up, do the workout, HAVE FUN, and see great results building strength and endurance.

I can’t run. Can I still do bootcamp?

Absolutely. Any time there is a running section of class I will give the option and a separate course to walk as well. No need to become a runner to do this class!

What if it rains?

If it rains we get wet! Class will be rain or shine. In the event of severe weather (thunderstorms) class will be canceled or postponed.

If you enjoy yoga and you like being on the water, you’ll probably have a blast trying out SUP Yoga at the East End Beach this summer. You don’t need to be an expert yogi or an expert paddler. All experience levels are welcome. If it’s your first time there’s a decent chance you’ll get wet, so make sure you dress appropriately! We’ll provide anchors for each SUP so that the entire group can circle around the instructor without floating away.

There are limited spots available for each class, so we strongly recommend signing up ahead of time by clicking on the blue button below or calling 207-370-9730. If we cancel a class due to poor weather conditions you will be given a choice between rescheduling or receiving a full refund. However, we usually go out as long as there’s no steady rain or strong winds. The sea conditions near the beach are different every session, and that’s part of the fun of doing yoga while floating.

PRICE PER CLASS: $28 per student or $18 if you have your own SUP.

FIVE-CLASS PASS: Buy five classes at once for $100 (or $75 if you use your own SUP) You will select the date of your first class when purchasing, and then you can choose the four other dates at any time using a code that will be emailed to you. All unused class credits will expire at the end of the 2017.

This year, most classes will be lead by the amazing Gretchen Campos of Greener Postures Yoga! Hoping to get some other teachers from last summer back as well. All classes are donation, all level classes and end with goat snuggles and cheese tasting. Proceeds are split between instructor and farm. And… since the self serve fridge is open Fri-Sun, people who attend yoga get early dibs on all the weekends treats! Hope to see you all back again this summer and to meet many new folks in the field as well. Limited parking so try to carpool and pull all the way in to park behind the barn. Bring your mat and some water and get ready to enjoy a sweet outdoor class!

Mindful Yoga Friday @ Willard Beach

Warm up your body in the woods, do yoga on the summit!

Hiking Yoga starts at the base of Mount Agamenticus at the entrance to the Ring Trail at 7am. After a 15-minute hike up the 0.3 mile Blueberry Bluff Trail, yoga will start at 7:30 am at the 692-foot summit. The hike offers the challenge of climbing on exposed bedrock and the delight of expansive views to the south of Pawtuckaway Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean.

The Mount Agamenticus Conservation Region’s 10,000 acres is one of the largest remaining expanses of undeveloped forests in coastal New England. It’s known for its vernal pools, rich biodiversity, unique trail system and many of Maine’s rare plants and animals. Take advantage of this gem created by state, local, and non-profit landowners’ efforts to preserve the water, wildlife and land on Mount Agamenticus.

Dates for Hiking Yoga at Mt. Agamenticus:
5/7, 5/21, 6/4, 6/18, 7/2, 7/30, 8/20, 9/2, 9/17.

Hike starts at the base of Mount Agamenticus at the entrance to the Ring Trail at 7 a.m. After a 15-minute hike up the 0.3 mile Blueberry Bluff Trail, yoga will begin at the summit at 7:30 am
