Its fun, varied, motivating, produces amazing results, and meets at a fantastic location.

Boot camp’s 45 minutes workouts allow you to do strength training and aerobic training in a single workout, which is very efficient when you have a limited time to work out.

Enjoy Goat Yoga led by Ashley Flowers, at Smiling Hill Farm. Smiling Hill Farm currently has baby goats and mama goats that will be romping around in the pen with us during our yoga class. Bring a mat/towel or practice on the grass. All levels yoga class! Picture taking, lauging, and goat petting are all encouraged!

Each session will start with 15 min of goat snuggles, followed by an hour of yoga, completed with another 15 minutes of goat holding and snuggling! Arrive a few minutes early and check out the barnyard before class. Save a few minutes after class to get some ice cream made from Smiling Hill cow dairy!

Summer is the season of growing and blossoming. This practice will be a unique sequence of postures, designed specifically to align us with the heavens. This summer we’ll be practicing during eclipse season; with powerful vibrations, and catalysts for personal and universal shifts.
We’ll gather outdoors in the park (right next to The Sunshine Factory) for astrology inspired yoga; infused with essential oil blends chosen to support you at Full Moon time (oils are optional). These two polarity signs, Capricorn and Cancer, represent structure and softness; the bones, the lungs and our earth and water energies. Feel your roots and allow your emotions to arise naturally through lunar salutations, postures for bone strength and for opening the rib cage and front body. Robin will weave astrological insights through the practice. This Full Moon is harmonious with aspects for healing and manifesting, letting go in order to bloom like the flowers of summer.

We’re teaming up with Saco Parks & Recreation Department to take yoga outside this summer and tour some of the beautiful spaces that Saco has to offer! Classes are for all levels and will be an hour. Join us for a summer night outside, and maybe explore a new park you haven’t visited yet!

Please bring your mat, water, and layers! We also suggest bringing your bug spray. Classes are taught by Samudra Studio Teachers.

Class Schedule:
Thursday June 28th – Jubilee Park with Emma Bootsie. This park overlooks the Saco river and is close to Samudra. The Entrance is on Water St, where there is parking available, or you can easily park at the Saco Train Station and Walk over.

Thursday July 5th – Pepperell Park with Emma Bootsie. Located behind Fairfield School, this park is quiet and well shaded. Parking is available on teh street or at Fairfield school.

Thursday August 2nd – Sandy Brook Pond Park at Foss Rd with Sarah Spiegel Dunn. This park is home to several walking trails, a peaceful pond and gazebo, and is very private. Parking is available near the trail entrance and at the soccer fields.

Thursday August 23rd – Bayview Beach with Shannon Heald – we couldn’t think of a better way to end the yoga tour than at the beach!

The mission of the Maine YogaFest (MYF) is to create a wellness event for the Maine and New England community to come together, celebrate the healing powers of yoga and encourage a healthy, peaceful and compassionate way of living. Our vision is to build a premiere forum in Maine that provides a sense of togetherness and community among yoga teachers, studios and practitioners. By raising awareness of the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga, we hope to strengthen the yoga movement and culture in our beautiful State.

In 2012, MYF was founded by three friends – Justine Carlisle, Dana Woodbury and Regan Johnson – to share their love of yoga with others. It is a two and a half day celebration of our amazing local yoga talent. The festival offers a diverse program allowing participants to try a wide range of yoga styles and techniques by a variety of teachers. MYF aims to support the growth of the Maine economy by featuring local music, food and vendors throughout the weekend.

In 2017, MYF partnered with sheJAMs also founded by three friends – Julie Marchese, Andrea Gleason, and Melissa Smith – to spread the word even further. sheJAM’s is an all-women’s training group, created to bring together women of all ages and abilities who enjoy being active. sheJAMs offers training programs that include triathlon, swimming, biking, year-long run group, boot camp, yoga buti and more. The goal is to make training fun and safe while providing an environment that has a non-competitive spirit, but allows you to push yourself. SheJAMs encourages members to share experiences, accomplishments, and challenges and to revel in the energy that a group of women with common interests can generate!
Hosting other events like the Dynamic Dirt Challenge, Power of She, and LobsterJAM , the Maine YogaFest was a natural fit!

MYF encourages green living practices in our community by promoting recycling, discouraging wastefulness and showcasing the natural setting of Maine.

>Historic Workouts is working with the Town of Kennebunk this year for beach classes! Pilates Strength and Core will take place every Friday morning at Kennebunk Beach (Gooches Beach by the Seaside Inn) in Kennebunk, Maine at 8:30AM from May 25 through September 7 (4 sessions).

This 60-minute awesome beach workout is designed for all fitness levels that begins with a proper warm-up followed by an energetic and intense mat-based, Pilates inspired, strength training workout using your own body weight and finishing with stretch and flexibility. Moreover, this dynamic total body workout challenges you by working more than one muscle group at a time all while transitioning from one exercise to the next, without a lot of rest in between, testing your strength, endurance, core, and more. If you’re looking for a workout that will help increase muscle strength, develop a stronger core, reduce body fat, ease low back pain, improve flexibility and balance, as well as to help support mental well-being, then this class is for you. With this equipment-free workout all you need to bring is sunscreen, plenty of water, and a yoga mat or towel. Come enjoy an athletic, all levels vinyasa yoga class with Yoga On York on Maine’s beautiful York Harbor Beach. This class is both vigorous and calming. Breathing deeply, moving mindfully….the soothing sounds of the ocean waves, the poignant smells of salt air, the gentle morning sun (or not), the occasional nibble of a gnat (or not), the sounds of nature, and the visit from a random dog while you are in down dog all make this beach yoga bliss.

At Yoga On York’s Beach Yoga classes you will be clearly guided with verbal queues to bring your attention to healthy body alignment. Various options of the poses are instructed to accommodate all levels of experience. Time to mindfully stretch and strengthen your body, moving to the flow of your deep breathing and the sound of the ocean does wonders for health and wellness!

Pricing is $20.
$10 for Veterans, College/High School Students, and Yoga Instructors.

You should be able to get up and down from the ground with ease to attend this class.
