Join Teens To Trails on Saturday, August 18th at L.L.Bean’s Discovery Park for the 2nd Annual Life Happens Outside Festival, an interactive, outdoor and family-friendly event to celebrate outdoor activities and lifestyles. This community event will benefit the work of T3, a local nonprofit dedicated to educating, engaging and inspiring Maine teens to build meaningful outdoor skills and provide access to incredible outdoor experiences such as camping at Acadia National Park or cross-country skiing to Maine Huts & Trails.
This weekend event is free for all ages and abilities promotes Teens To Trails efforts to provide programming, gear and opportunities to teens that gives them more access to outdoor opportunities. Our goal is to EDUCATE youth, teens and families on how and where to get outside, ENGAGE with our communities to encourage more time spent outdoors and INSPIRE the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts and stewards.
Sebago Sailing / Maine Hobiecat will be providing free demos where you can ride Hobie Mirage Eclipse for 10 minutes or so and check it out what all rave is about! We will also have a Hobie Mirage Kayak or two to try so you can pedal, paddle or step! The event will be from 11AM to 2PM – have lunch in town and check us out! ** We will have some demos and blems for sale also. Bring your truck, Subaru, SUV and enjoy riding your Hobie into the fall!
Join Metta Studios Monday nights in Clifford Park for an hour long accessible yoga flow class. Classes are by donation with a portion of all proceeds to benefit the Friends of Clifford Park! All bodies welcome!
Come on out and join the Runaways Run Club for a free, all levels 3.5 mile group run around the Back Cove Trail in Portland every Tuesday. This is an informal and fun group run, go at whatever pace you’d like, for first placers to first timers! We’re meeting at Payson Park at the parking lot nearest to the trail / Baxter Blvd and we’ll be taking off on the run no later than 6:05am, just FYI. See you there!
