I don't like "exercise" any more than you do. But you know what I do like? Paddleboarding with friends all afternoon, followed by shandys on the beach. I like bike rides with pit stops for nachos, yoga classes held in breweries, group paddles to Fort Gorges, and winter hikes with spiked hot apple cider. I think you get the picture. Because Maine is my gym.

THE WEEKEND: Surf + Yoga, Full Moon Hike + Tough Mountain Challenge

The full moon brings out all the best events - like a full moon canoe in Old Town, full moon yoga on a Portland rooftop, and full moon hike on Noyes Mountain in Greenwood. But you can also enjoy a morning workout at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth, do yoga and get a surf lesson in Scarborough, run the streets of Munjoy Hill at night, and tackle an amazing assortment of obstacles on the mountain at Sunday River.
