We’re bringing back our weekly SUP paddles for our 2019 season! Starting on June 6 our staff will lead an early morning paddle from our site at the East End Beach every Thursday. It’s free to join with your own board or just $15 to rent one from us ($10 off the usual rate).
This weekly gathering is a casual paddle open to anyone with some SUP experience who feels comfortable and confident on a board. This isn’t a guided trip, so everyone is responsible for their own safety and it’s not a good fit for total novices. That said, our staff are happy to share their knowledge of the sport and offer tips and support. The group will stay on the water for about an hour and will pick a destination that fits the conditions and participants.
A note about weather: If we need to cancel a weekly paddle due to weather conditions we will post an update on our Meetup page and on Facebook.
Join us Thursday nights from May-September as we partner with L.L.Bean for our weekly Bike & Brew rides. The 22- mile route begins and ends at Maine Beer Company, and is a self-supported, moderate skill group ride through the back roads of Freeport, Yarmouth, North Yarmouth, and Pownal. Check in at Maine Beer Company between 4:30-5:15(you will need to fill out 2 waivers-only need to do this once), the ride leaves around 5:15, and is followed by a beer on your return.
Free Group Run every Thursday at 6:15 p.m. with after-run libations at Liquid Riot.
Meet at Liquid Riot.
Join Portland Swing Project for our weekly swing dance, Thursday Night Stomp! Come dance to a variety of swing music from our talented musicians and DJs playing music from the 1920s to today. Try swing for the first time with a beginning lesson 7-7:30 and music 7:30-9:30. Shake off some mid-week stress, meet new people and have a bunch of fun.
