Join us for our 8th Annual Lake Auburn Half Marathon, 5K Walk/Run and Kids Fun Run at Central Maine Community College in Auburn, Maine. Through its partnership with Moving ME Forward (a nonprofit 501(c)3 founded in 2012), this event supports the local community through personal, business, and private contributions focused on supporting Maine communities to provide a healthier place to live.
The monies generated from this race provide the primary funding for the Moving ME Forward Grant Program. Moving ME forward provides mentoring, programming and resources to health and fitness professionals so that they can help others improve their wellness.
Each year, Moving ME Forward gives back 10,000- 20,000 dollars for “People to help People”. It influences the community through financial aid, internships, mentor-ships, volunteer services and needed supplies such as sneakers and warm clothing. We hope to exceed that amount this year and watch these programs continue to positively impact our community.

We pride ourselves in encouraging community members to pursue healthier lifestyles and every day we get to witness this positive impact through the ripple effect that our ongoing engagement has throughout our local neighborhoods.
Last year we gave over $10,000 to programs that supported our local communities through monies raised during the Lake Auburn Half Marathon, 5K Walk/Run and Kids Fun Run. These programs impacted the community through financial aid, internships, mentorships, volunteer services and needed supplies such as sneakers and warm clothing. We are overjoyed in our anticipation to exceed that amount this year and watch these programs continue to positively impact our community.
This event course includes beautiful views of Lake Auburn and the surrounding countryside making this one of the most scenic half marathons in Maine to participate in. We have partnered with Baxter Brewing Company as the location for packet pick-up in the afternoon/evening before the event. There will also be an opportunity on the morning of the event for packet pick-up at Central Maine Community College. Join us at beautiful Pineland Farms for the inaugural Dynamic Fit Challenge. We took a trail run, blended with parts of the Dynamic Dirt Challenge obstacle course, then added the spice of working out with a personal trainer during the race.
Run up hills and down hills, tackle natural and man-made obstacles, and be challenged by multiple “Fit Stations” along the course. Our Fitness Professionals from area gyms and studios, will add some heat to your race with dynamic movement exercises designed to increase the challenge of this trail run.
You’ll be off pavement, you’ll be in the dirt and in the water, finger’s crossed there will be mud too!
