Conditions permitting – Skate skiing is a fun, fast and exciting way to explore groomed cross-country skis trails. Our expert instructors will begin the course with a comprehensive overview of skate-skiing fundamentals, including weight transfer, poling and timing. They’ll guide you, step by step, through skate-skiing basics, showing you the best techniques for various types of terrain. You’ll also learn the difference between classic and skate skiing plus receive recommendations from your instructors on the equipment best suited for your interests.
You’ll then practice what you’ve learned with your instructor on L.L.Bean’s private, groomed trails. You’ll leave this course with the skills necessary to confidently skate ski on your own.
All necessary skate-skiing equipment is provided.
Please note this course is weather dependent.
