Too soon to think about learning to surf this year? Nope.
Aquaholics in Kennebunk is starting Mom’s Morning up again starting Tuesday, April 7 (and then most Tuesdays after that, depending on conditions).
Mom’s Morning is an awesome opportunity for women (and yes, men too!) to learn to surf in a welcoming environment. (Meaning, you’ll be with other brand-new surfers, in small waves at Gooch’s Beach and under the tutelage of Aquaholics owner Nanci Boutet…because paddling out into a group of experienced surfers and praying that you’ll just figure it out is probably not the way to go.)
Mom’s Morning is free, and while the spaces often fill up fast in warmer months, you shouldn’t have much trouble this time of year. Because some surfers wince at the cold. But not you, right?
