Kitten yoga! Wait, what?

It’s yoga, but with kittens in the studio pouncing after toys or sauntering between feet or deciding your mat is the place to be the moment you rise up into wheel pose.

Saturday’s Kitten Yoga – held at Samudra Studio in Saco – benefited HART of Maine, a cat shelter located in Cumberland. The kittens in attendance were all from HART, and nearly all were headed off to their forever homes after this event.

It was hilarious to hang forward in rag doll and feel a bundle of fur breeze past your hands or close your eyes in savasana and hear the sounds of meowing.

The Kitten Yoga will continue now and then (I hear the next one is in May – and it’ll no doubt sell out fast)! Follow samudrastudioyoga.com to find out about it.

And if you want to help HART keep doing the good work it does, check out the online auction on their website and bid on cool stuff! www.hartofme.com
