There was snow on the ground, a bright sun in the sky, and festive apparel in every direction. Holiday spirit was on high during the annual Holiday Dash 5K, which benefits Portland Trails and includes beer and brunch after the race. There were elves, Santas, sweater vests, union suits, and even a shark eating an elf during this year’s event.

I don't like "exercise" any more than you do. But you know what I do like? Paddleboarding with friends all afternoon, followed by shandys on the beach. I like bike rides with pit stops for nachos, yoga classes held in breweries, group paddles to Fort Gorges, and winter hikes with spiked hot apple cider. I think you get the picture. Because Maine is my gym.
