It sure was windy for the 2016 Portland Tweed Ride on Sunday, but we didn’t let that put a damper on our dapper! There were dashing hats and fine tweed coats and plenty of old school bikes dating as far back as the 1980s. (Hey, ain’t no shame in semi-modern rides.) Even the dog had a grand time.

Check out the photos below. There are more on Fit Maine’s Facebook page, too!

After a cruise through Portland and along the East End trail with views of Casco Bay, we stopped for photos in Deering Oaks and ended our ride at historic Victoria Mansion with some hot cider. The good people of Ernie’s Cycle Shop gave out lights to the dapperest (actually, all of us!). Because it’s the sharpest-looking ride of the year!
