Update on the Trek Across Maine! This popular 180-mile ride, which typically takes place Father’s Day weekend, is now a virtual event. While we’re all bummed that we won’t be able to enjoy the full experience this year (the amazing camaraderie! The spectacular volunteers! The baked potatoes and fluffernutters!) this is the best and safest decision to make for this year. Besides, you can still reward yourself with all the snacks as your ride on your own.
Riders already registered are all set for the virtual ride. And registration is still open for those who’d like to join the virtual event. Registration is $15 and the revised fundraising minimum is $250. You can start riding towards your mileage goal right now. (Er, maybe wait until the blowing winds and rain stop.)
The Trek Across Maine is the @American Lung Associations’s largest fundraiser, and it’s a tradition for so many riders. It might look and feel a little different this year, but it’s still an excellent reason to get riding.
