How do I become a member?
My favorite question! Becoming a member is easy. Simply head over to the Fit Maine Social Club membership page and choose your membership level – monthly (recurring), seasonal, or annual.
Do I have to be a member to participate in Fit Maine Social Club events?
Most of the time, yes. That’s the perk of membership! Occasionally, there are events that are open to the public (Social Club members get a discount/free admission, but anyone is welcome to come to those events).
If I am a member, can I bring a friend who is not a member?
While most events are for members only, we want to encourage friends to join us, so there is some opportunity to bring a friend when space for an event allows. Please ask in advance when you’d like to bring a friend.
Is the Social Club kid friendly?
At this time, the club is for adults only. This is a chance for us grownups – whether we’re parents or not – to have some fun of our own.
Is the Social Club dog friendly?
Yes! At least, when events allow. Your pooch probably can’t come to that circus class, but leashed dogs are welcome to join us for hikes (on trails where dogs are allowed) and paddles (if your dog loves to join you on your SUP or kayak).
I am new to the outdoors/I’m just starting to get more active. Is this group right for me?
While our skill and experience levels range, this is a welcoming and non-judgemental bunch. We’re all here to try new things and have some fun – and cheer each other on along the way. The pace is generally easy-going for much of what we do (we’re not typically sprinting up mountains). Many of the workouts are all-levels and beginner friendly, while some events can be more thrilling/challenging – like waterfall rappelling or ice climbing. Take a look at the calendar and see what you think.
How do I cancel an event I’ve signed up for?
If you’ve registered for an event and realize you’re no longer able to make it, please let me know as soon as possible. You can do that in whatever way you’d like (by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org, texting 207-329-1188, on Facebook messenger, or by filling out the event cancellation form online). Unfortunately, the membership platform does not currently allow members to cancel events themselves, so ya gotta tell me!
Can I cancel my membership?
Of course, although I’d hate to see you go! You can cancel your membership at any time by logging in and navigating to the My Account page. Click on the blue “renew, upgrade, or update billing” button at the bottom of the page. Check the “cancel” box. Click “save.” NOTE: Seasonal and annual memberships run out automatically and do not renew unless you choose to renew them. Only the monthly membership with the recurring payment needs to be cancelled. And if you cancel for a bit, you can always sign back up at a later time.
